US Open Pride Day 2025

- We will all meet up under the giant canopy at the end of the Flushing Meadows Pedestrian Bridge that leads to the US Open entrance. This is accessed by walking across the pedestrian bridge when you get off the train

- The van will be parked near Citi Field (Mets Stadium). When you get off the train/subway, head there to pick up your instrument before meeting up at the canopy at the end of the boardwalk
- You will get your wristband at the call location under the canopy. This will give you access to the grounds.
By Subway or LIRR:
- Take the 7 Train or LIRR to Mets-Willets Point
- Our call location is at the end of the boardwalk adjacent to the station
- Musicians with instruments on the van should first go to Citi Field (Mets Stadium) to pick up instrument before heading to call location
- Plan ahead for delays! The trains will be congested and possibly slow. Plan to arrive earlier than our call time if possible!
- Be sure to check the MTA website for service changes and the MTA Live Map before you leave home!
By Car
- Parking is available at the USTA Tennis Center. Marita drove and parked there and it wasn’t that complicated but it wasn’t cheap ($40).

- The USTA Tennis Center gets chilly at night, so you might want to bring a light jacket or sweatshirt if you plan to stay for night matches
- The 2025 Marching Set, Warmups, and most of the GOATs!
- PLEASE make sure you have the following music NOW, and please put it in your flipfolder in order!
- If you are missing anything, please print it from Chorus Connection or contact Marita ASAP! We will not have music at the call location!

- Make sure you have a new QBAC logo placard in front of the pieces in the Marching Set, GOATs, etc.

Bags, cases, and other stuff you can/cannot bring into the grounds
- ALL bags are subject to search, and must not be larger than 12” W x 12”H x 16” L (size exception for ADA/medical equipment reasons to be confirmed by Security Supervisor).
- There is a per-guest limit of one small bag on the grounds (see size above).
- For a nominal charge, you can check your bag and/or instrument case at one of the facilities just outside the Main Entry and the Champions’ Gate entrances.
- NO glass bottles, containers, or cans (ONLY reusable metal or plastic water bottles)
- NO Backpacks (Exception: single compartment drawstring bags)
- NO computers or laptops
- NO video cameras or recording devices (Exception: cell phones and SLR cameras, with lenses up to and not exceeding 300mm, with video or recording capabilities) and tripods or other professional camera equipment
- The following items are prohibited and MAY NOT be brought onto the premises: NO hard coolers and containers; sealed packages of any kind; aerosol cans or noise-making devices; alcohol or other beverages containing alcohol; illegal substances;
Restrooms are located near our call location and throughout the grounds.
We will be performing for about 30 minutes starting at 9:30 AM SHARP.
This is a stand and play gig, and we will be staged under the canopy and will be playing as enormous crowds of people pass us on the way to the stadium gates.
Once our performance ends, we will reload ONLY band-owned instruments and equipment into the van
Those with personal instruments can check them at the bag check.
We are now welcome to enjoy our day at the US OPEN! The wristband will give us access to the grounds all day and to all the courts except Arthur Ashe Stadium.
